Darby O’Gill (Albert Sharpe) is the rascally old raconteur of Rathcullen, and though his tales seem tall, they’re about the littlest legends in Irish lore! A strapping young Dubliner named Michael (Sean Connery) is hired to replace Darby as caretaker of the Fitzpatrick estate, and soon falls in love with Darby’s beautiful daughter Katie (Janet Munro). While forces in the town attempt to disrupt life for their clan, Darby must call upon his friendly rival for assistance, the leader of the leprechauns, King Brian (Jimmy O’Dea). Only together can they hope to maintain happiness and balance in their musical, magical town!
