Few things spark a child’s imagination like a good book and that’s why PBS SoCal is looking for your child’s original stories!

PBS SoCal encourages Southern California children to create an original story as part of the PBS KIDS Writers Contest. This year, we are locally offering the Writers Contest to K-6th grade students!

Get your children’s imagination and writing skills going – it’s time to prepare for the PBS KIDS Writers Contest!

The PBS KIDS Writer’s Contest is a yearly, national-local contest designed to promote children’s reading skills through hands-on active learning. The contest encourages children in grades K-3 to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their original storybook.

The 2018 PBS KIDS Writers Contest is for kids who are in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade or 3rd Grade.

Are you in a K-3 Grade? Great! Here’s what you’ll need to do to submit your entry. Don’t forget to ask for help from an adult here if you need it!
