Grand Ave Arts: All Access
Grand Avenue Arts: All Access showcases major cultural institutions in DTLA. The free one-day event features performances, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive family-friendly activities. The event takes place at venues along Grand Ave. between Temple and Sixth. Participating institutions include The Broad Museum, Colburn School, Grand Park, Grand Performances, LA Chamber Orchestra, LA Opera, Los Angeles Public Library, Los Angeles Philharmonic, MOCA, The Music Center and REDCAT. Thomas fans can enjoy a ride on a full-size Thomas the Tank Engine, with Sir Topham Hatt on hand to meet passengers. There are multiple departures each day. Guests should arrive at least one hour prior to their scheduled departure. The ride on the train with Thomas is approximately 25 minutes. A very limited number of tickets to ride behind Percy are available as an add-on to the Thomas ticket; that ride is approximately 15 minutes.

9:00am - 2:00pm The 9th Annual Hike-A-Thon & Family Fun Day in Temescal Park offers a day of music, games, arts-n-crafts, an art bus, a bounce house, face painting, In’n’Out and hiking. The event supports boys and girls in the Southern California foster care system. Participants can sign up to hike or sponsor a team and help reach the goal of $75,000 to send 100 kids to camp. All proceeds go directly to Happy Trails for Kids, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
