Kids can bring their Christmas wishes directly to Santa Claus during a 20-minute harbor cruise on board the Dana Pride. Bring cameras, of course, for some amazing holiday photos. Sand Snowman Contest

Who needs snow?  In Hermosa Beach, families can make their snowmen out of sand. This is a free, all ages, event open to the entire community. Registration begins at 9am; judging starts around 11:15am. Families are encouraged to bring their own tools and decorations to create their "Sand Snowman." Free goody bags for kids while supplies last. Prizes will be rewarded for the winners of the varying categories.

CicLAvia – The Valley

CicLAvia returns to the Valley for a new 5-mile route  along Sherman Way from Canoga Park through Winnetka and into Reseda. CicLAvia is derived from a Spanish term for "bike path," and its goal is to turn LA into one big bike path, if just for a few hours.
