Lollipop Superhero Walk
Join us at the 2nd LOLLIPOP Superhero Walk and become a superhero for the day! Help us celebrate everyone who helps us bring joy to hospitalized children, including their parents, siblings and caretakers, and the movie studios and stars we partner with. And, most of all, to celebrate the ultimate superheroes, the patients themselves! "Los Angeles celebrated the groundbreaking for the new Ascot Hills Park in 2005. The Olmsted Report recommended a park there in 1930. The Ascot Hills are named for the former Legion Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles's most popular auto racetrack during the 1920s and 1930s. Until the groundbreaking for the park in 2005, the largest open space in East Los Angeles was Evergreen Cemetery. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in Venice with a family-friendly, free community parade and festival. The parade blends traditional Mexican cultural performances with Mexican American innovations including classic cars, traditional folklorico dancers, Aztec dancers, charro, floats, and a mariachi band.
