The Big Irish Fair and Music Festival, which is the largest such festival west of the Mississippi, has been around Southern California at various venues for more than 40 years. This year, the site is the beautiful El Dorado Park in the city of Long Beach next to the 605 freeway. The entry to the park  is from Spring Street. We are situated next to a lovely lake with many mature trees everywhere.

There will be many wonderful Irish bands, which includes our top act, the well-known Fenians.  For the young folk we have a leprechaun Village with rides, story telling, and a Freckle Face competition. You are invited to join us or just watch our daily “St. Paddy” parades.  Also included in our entertainment line-up is a sheep-herding exhibition, a fair favorite.  For your eating pleasure, Irish and American food will be supplied by Paul Hennessy of the Hennessy Taverns. Of course, Guinness beer will be in ample supply.  Expect to find many other vendors, as well.

The dates are June 10th and 11th.  Millitary in uniform will be admitted at no charge.  So come join us for a real HOOLEY!
