Martin Luther King Day of Service

1/20/2019

On January 14th, millions will come together to volunteer and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who never stopped asking the question, “What are you doing for others?” The MLK Day of Service is a moment to work together to fulfill King’s vision for a better America with hands-on projects that directly benefit our local community.

As Dr. King once pointed out, “Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.” This year, we have embraced that idea with service opportunities designed especially for youth with a heart for helping their peers. We invite families to join us on the new Argryos Plaza, where you will have the chance to prepare a backpack for a child in the foster system, create an encouraging card for a young community member, and learn how to get involved with Segerstrom Center’s outreach to youth in Orange County. Explore ways to help our partner organization CHOC, opportunities to volunteer here at the Center, and much more!

While you’re here, participate in a community art project and enjoy delicious food from Center 360 Café, face painting, and balloon art from our talented entertainers. Make giving back not only a family affair, but a fun one!
