Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration 2019

Join us for one of Southern California’s largest birthday celebrations for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., honoring his memory and work to ensure civil rights for all people. This year is the event’s 33rd anniversary and embraces the theme “Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere.” Keynote speaker was not confirmed at press time. The multiethnic interfaith program includes inspirational readings, music, and scholarship presentations. Afterward, a Community Involvement Fair (held nearby at 725 California Ave., Santa Monica) offers refreshments and informational displays by a variety of community organizations.
