About Eugenia Cheng

英國華裔數學家 Eugenia Cheng 在 University of Sheffield 教授理論數學，研究課題是 higher-dimensional category theory。 Eugenia 並於 School of the Art Institute of Chicago 教藝術，她也是一名傑出的鋼琴家。Eugenia 出版了好幾本暢銷書，以烘培的理論和比喻來分享她對數學的熱愛。

Eugenia Cheng is an English mathematician and pianist. She is a senior lecturer of pure mathematics at the University of Sheffield and a senior lecturer in liberal arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her mathematical interests include higher-dimensional category theory, and as a pianist she specialises in Lieder and art song. She is also passionate about explaining maths to non-mathematicians to rid the world of maths phobia, often using entertaining analogies with food and baking.
