The South Coast Chinese Cultural Center invites any preschool and kindergarten age children to attend a free Mandarin story time, which is filled with fun activities such as songs, rhymes, finger plays, and crafts that promote early literacy skills.

This is a great opportunity for parents to participate in activities and explore Mandarin language with their children. Free and no sign up required! Please see below for more information.

This is a classic story to learn the colors and animals in Mandarin! We will make a mini book for you to take home and practice the words with kids!

5/ 17  我的朋友，兔子 My Friends, Rabbit

Children love animals! We will count these animals and learn about friendship. Kids will make a bunny puppet so you and your child can play out the story at home.

5/ 31  月亮，晚安  Good Night Moon

Explore all the familiar things in a room and learn to name them in Mandarin. We will make an I Spy Game Bag together so you can practice the words with your child in an interactive way!
