An Elegant Dinner with the 2014 Rose Queen and Princesses

We had the wonderful opportunity to meet and dine with the 2014 Rose Court.  The seven outstanding young ladies are excellent role models for our children with dreams and aspiration.

We started off visiting each of their autograph station, and chatted with each of them as they busily signed our autograph on the official Rose Court portrait.

The local girl scout troop kicked off the event with their flag ceremony and pledge of alligence

Then it is dinner time!  All the little girls get to sit with a Princess or Queen at seven tables.  Dinner was served at the table so everyone can practice their best table manners.   Some really interesting converation took place at this magical moment!

During dinner, the President of the Tournament of Roses officially introduced the Rose Court, and explained to the guests the procedures of the Rose Court selection.

The process of interviews after interviews to becoming a Rose Princess was long and difficult, it was amazing how these 17 years old girls overcome such high level of anxiety (amid heavyloaded senior year homework) to go through these rounds competition and became a Rose Princess, and even a Rose Queen.

Finally, it was the highlight of the evening.  After a quick round of fashion show to show off the beautiful outfit and jewelry provided by Macy's and Mikimoto, the Queen and Princesses addressed the guests and answered lots of really interesting questions from the audience of 100 little girls.

"Do all of you live in a castle?", "What is your favorite color?", "How does it feel to be a princess?"  We couldn't help but chuckle at some of the cutest questions coming in from girls as young as 4 years old...
