Event Name:   秋の旨いもの紀行

If you believe that 2012/12/21 is the end of the world, then this will be your last chance to sample some real Japanese tastes in Los Angeles without flying to Japan.  This is the last gourmet Japanese food fair by the famous Mitsuwa Food Store.  Several well-known popular shops from Japan will bring their “chefs-d'oeuvre“ to be showcased here in SoCal.  We went there today for a sampling tour of the food galore...

Pure Fruit Juice Jelly

I thought they were selling fresh fruits (very misleading since I don't read Japanese) but later on realized that these are mini-fruit jellies made from 100% fruit juice.  They come in several flavors: watermelon, cantelope, apple, and my favorite, peach.  How do they taste?  Well, half of the jellies were gone before we arrived home, that tells you something :-)
