齋 戒 月 （ Ramadan 來自阿拉伯語：رمضان 意味著酷暑或乾燥）是農曆伊斯蘭教歷的第九個月，持續29天或30天，亦是12個月中最神聖的月份。

這個月是真主安拉將可蘭經（Quran）下降給穆罕默德聖人的月份。古蘭經規定穆斯林必須守齋戒月，每天從日出到日落期間停止飲食等活動，日落後直至日出前都可正常作息喫喝，晨禮喚拜一起便又進入齋戒狀態。 Ramadan以開齋節收尾，當天通常會有盛宴。

Ramadan  in Arabic is  رمضان‎ .  It is the ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar, which lasts 29 or 30 days according to the visual sightings of the crescent moon according to numerous biographical accounts compiled in Hadiths.  The word Ramadan comes from the Arabic root “ramida” or “ar-ramad,” which means scorching heat or dryness. It is the Muslim month of fasting, in which Muslims refrain from dawn until sunset from eating, drinking, and intimate relations.
