Thanksgiving Party is not just a time for good food but also a time for family gathering. Therefore, it's important not to just focus on food. It's also important to make sure you include an exercise plan during the holiday season.

Remember you can indulge, but in moderation. For example, when you enjoy your Turkey Dinner, remember to eat the veggies first and then enjoy the white turkey meat with no more than 1/2 cup of stuffings and 2 teaspoon of gravy.

You can also modify your recipes to save some calories from the sweets and drinks:

Candied sweet potatoes :

use Olive oil instead of butter to cut the saturated fat
use a touch of maple syrup instead of the brown sugar and marshmallows

Pumpkin Pie:

use Graham cracker crust (home-made) instead of store-bought pie crust you save 190 kcal. Try to combine Wheat Germ, flaxseed and graham cracker squares. Wheat Germs is high in Vit E and protein, and flaxseed adds the heart healthy omega- 3.

Drinks:

§  Watch out for the calories of your spirits!

§  Use fresh juice instead of store-bought mix for your cocktails.

§  Use club soda or diet soda as mixers.

§  Remember to limit to 1 drink for women and 2 for men.
