DESCRIPTION:10am - 7pm\n\nBilled as the world's largest street painting festival\, the annual Chalk Festival features more than 600 artists adorning the sidewalks of Paseo Colorado.\n\nMusic accompanies the artists as they work\, and families are encouraged to vote for favorite works of art.\n\nKids' Chalkland in Euclid Court (12noon - 5pm)gives kids a chance to get creative.\n\nNote that Kids' Chalkland is the only place where visitor participation is permitted; the rest of the festival is for registered artist participants only.\n\n18th Annual Pasadena Police Classic Car Show (Green St.\, Sunday 10 am – 3 pm) offers food booths\, raffle prizes\, Police Helicopter Ride Auction\, and more. All proceeds benefit the Pasadena PAL Program and The Pasadena Police Explorer Post.\n\n  \n\nFESTIVAL FEATURES & HIGHLIGHTS\n\nLIVE MUSIC and entertainment all day at the Main Stage\n\nCHILDREN'S CHALKLAND\n\nAn area for kids to create Father’s Day cards! Ballots are available at Chalk Festival Info Booth located near the Main Stage.\n\n\n\nFUN FACTS\n\n\tFestival artists use more than 25\,000 sticks of chalk during the two-day festival.\n\tArtists at the festival learn to barter with others in order to get the chalk colors they need…and to make new friends!\n\tBlue is the most popular color used (8\,000 sticks used every year!)\, as it serves as the under-drawing base tint\, followed closely by black and white.\n\tSome muralists create their chalk paintings in about eight hours\, while for some of the true masterpieces of the festival\, artists utilize all 20-plus hours of daylight that the festival weekend allows.\n\tThe largest mural ever created at the festival featured a giant red squid – whose tentacles extended more than 20 feet.
