DESCRIPTION:The Mission Playhouse and Los Angeles Theatre Organ Society present The Kid Sunday afternoon\, November 19th at 2:30pm.\n\nPremiering in 1921 at Carnegie Hall\, the heartwarming film The Kid features international comedy star Charlie Chaplin and Jackie Coogan. The Kidwas Chaplin’s first full length feature film. Directed\, written\, and produced by Chaplin\, he portrays his famous ‘Tramp’ character who finds an abandoned baby that he raises as his own. The film is “a perfect blend of comedy and drama and is arguably Chaplin’s most personal and autobiographical work” (silentfilm.org).
