DESCRIPTION:On October 28\, 1995\, a vision was born; a vision of a community bustling around in happy holiday surroundings\, in a true hometown atmosphere.\n\nThe ideal place for such an experience would be what all knew as Anaheim’s old downtown on West Harbor Place. On that day in October\, dreams and schemes were filling the air. Activities such as horse-drawn carriage rides\, choral groups and services from local places of worship\, marching bands\, entertainment provided by our children’s groups\, and Santa arriving via one of Anaheim’s gleaming fire trucks were planned. From East to West Anaheim\, something for everyone. And what a better center point would there be than to have a beautifully decorated tree at the foot of West Harbor Place for an annual tree lighting ceremony.\nA legacy that the children of Anaheim could experience and pass on to their children.\n\nAt that point\, Anaheim’s 1st Annual Nutcracker Holiday began.
