DESCRIPTION:The Sparrow Mart is both an art installation and a shop. Artist Lucy Sparrow has recreated an entire Los Angeles supermarket out of felt\, and the stuffed foodie items are all for sale.\n\nThe Mart features over 31\,000 hand-painted and sewn versions of every grocery item imaginable\, all available for purchase (prices start at $5\, with many items running $20 - $40). "Shoppers" can view fruit\, vegetables\, sushi\, fish\, meat\, frozen food\, candy\, liquor\, and a health and beauty department. Sparrow Mart even has a VHS section\, featuring '80s classics like Footloose\, Dirty Dancing\, and Short Circuit.
