DESCRIPTION:Cinco de Mayo\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe City of Monterey Park’s Cinco de Mayo Committee extends an invitation to the community to attend the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration at Barnes Park. This festive day features a wide variety of entertainers including folklorico dancers\, mariachis and other traditional Mexican music.\n\n\tSunday\, May 5\, 2019\, from 1-6 p.m. at the Barnes Park Amphitheater.\n\tFree live entertainment includes mariachis\, folklorico dancing and more.\n\tWatch and hear the entertainers from the 2018 Cinco de Mayo event on our MPK-TV YouTube Channel.\n\n\n\n\nEntertainment Schedule\n1:00 pm – 2:00pm   Ballet Folklorico Esperanza Flores\n\n2:00pm – 2:30pm    Dignitaries Introduced & Raffles\n\n2:30pm – 3:30pm    Mariachi Orgullo Jalisciense\n\n3:30pm – 4:00pm    Raffles and Announcements\n\n4:00pm – 5:00pm    Grupo Trio Sonora\n\n5:00pm – 5:15pm    Money Hat and Raffles\n\n5:00pm – 5:45pm    Grupo Trio Sonora\n\n5:45pm – 6:00pm    Raffles and Closing Announcements\nRaffle\nAn essential part of the Cinco De Mayo event is the support for surrounding Businesses\, Community leaders\, and residents. One of the highlights of the day is the raffle drawing\, with prizes ranging from free car washes to piñatas\, and free dinners at local restaurants. A second drawing will be made for the popular money hat.\n\n\n\n\n\n
