A candlelit procession at the City Hall lawn will bring the community together during the holiday season. This festive event will feature caroling of holiday songs\, light refreshments\, cultural activities for children such as piñatas\, and special performances by Mariachis and ballet folklorico dancers.  Everyone is welcome!  For more information\, please call (562) 929-5518.\n\nLas Posadas has been a part of Olvera Street since its founding in 1930. Reenacting the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem with traditional songs\, colorful costumes\, and vibrant music brings one of the oldest Christmas stories to life. While the event is rooted in Christian and Catholic traditions\, it is attended by people from all religious backgrounds\, and all are welcome to participate.
