SUMMARY:Abbot Kinney Festival
DESCRIPTION:\n\nVendors line both sides of Abbot Kinney at the 35th annual Abbot Kinney Festival - many with a decidedly Green edge (this is Venice\, after all).\n\nAn eclectic range of musicians is scheduled to perform on stages up and down the mile-long stretch\, and food trucks aplenty satisfy every gastronomical whim.\n\nThe Festival kicks off with a Family Parade at 9:45am\, to the Samba-Reggae beat of Samba da Mudanca and Sandra Sandia. The parade begins at California Ave\, then makes its way to the KidsQuad\, (at Main Street).\n\nThe Kidsquad offers a range of fun activities.  There\, kids can climb a rock wall\, create works of art\, listen to kid-friendly music\, enjoy bouncy slides and a surf simulator\,  go on treasure hunts\, get glitter tattoos and make tie-dye t-shirts\n\nGames and activities in KidsQuad require 2 to 5 tickets.  Tickets are $1 each / $20 for 25.  Unlimited wristbands are $100 at the festival\, $90 pre-sale.\n\nParking:  street parking or various public and private lots. Given the expected crowds\, public transportation might be a better alternative.\n\n\n \n
