DESCRIPTION:Members-only early entry and pumpkin decorating: 8:00am-9:00am\n\nGeneral public entry: 9am-12pm\n\nRegular admission plus Halloween activities fee: $5 per child general public; $3 per child members\n\nStart your Halloween celebration at the Arboretum.  Halloween activities are designed for children ages 10 and under including creepy science projects\, fall book readings and walks\, amazing photo opportunities\, lawn games and other autumn crafts.  Dressing in costume is encouraged!\n\nNEW THIS YEAR!\n\nFlying Spiders with ScrapKins!\nJoin Recycled Art masters\, ScrapKins to transform a cardboard tube and a  plastic bag into a flying Halloween spider and pick up an autographed copy of their book “ScrapKins: Junk Re-Thunk.” For purchase at the event.\n\nScrapKins is an interactive Recycled Arts Programs that inspires kids ages 5-10 to see the creative potential in everyday junk through hands-on STEAM based workshops and building experiences. Created by Author/Illustrator Brian Yanish\,\nScrapKins has been shared with K-5 students at 50 schools around the World\, created workshops for The American Museum of Natural History\, The Skirball Museum\, NY Hall of Science\, Boston Children’s Museum\, Whole Foods\, Seventh Generation\, Maker Faire\, Scholastic Afterschool\, and even appeared on Sesame Street: (Watch our 1 minute video:  Check it out here! )
