DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe zoo presents a "merry not scary" Halloween event with 10 trick-or-treat stations\, animal presentations\, a costume parade\, storytelling\, and other entertainment for little ones. For bigger kids\, a Teen Scream haunted house is also included in admission.\n\nGuests can ride the "Boofari" Express Train and Carousel for an additional fee.\n\nAvoid lines at the gate by purchasing tickets in advance online. Parking is free. The event takes place rain or shine.\n\n\nThat was the unusual request made in 1952 by Joseph Prentice\, the founder of the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park. In order for the Zoo to exist\, Mr. Prentice required that there be 50 monkeys on the grounds at all times. When you come for a visit\, look for the 50 monkeys!\n\nThis charming Zoo features over 80 species of animals\, including the smallest monkeys in the world\, the Pygmy Marmosets. The Zoo is a place to play\, a place to learn and a place to spend time with your family.When visiting the Zoo\, children and adults can share time together learning about animals\, plants and the environment. There is also a children's farm\, train ride and carrousel featuring endangered species.\n
