DESCRIPTION:\n這次的 丫丫有禮送 VIP 票活動引起很大的迴響，證明真的很多丫丫讀者想去看 Cavalia，可是卻只能有一家人中獎 . . .\n\n沒有中獎不要緊，我們當然也為你們做了功課，讓大家都能看到 Cavalia OdysseO 從未曝光的精彩片段、 VIP 專享的特別活動，還有小記者在 RENDEZ-VOUS 貴賓室的訪問過程～～\n\n我們還獲邀進入Cavalia 後台，原來後台到前台的一小段路是很陡的，大家都走得有點吃力，可是走到台前時，才發現原來舞台真的好大好大喔！很難想像表演者和馬匹每場演出需要多少精力！\n\n快來看看小記者在 VIP Lounge 玩了什麼！\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Night At Cavalia OdysseO\n\nBy Kyle Chiu\n\n            On February 25\, 2016 two Lajaja Kids Junior Journalist: Kyle Chiu and Bianca Chiu went to see the Cavalia Odysseo. The show was the company’s 2nd production and have been having tours since fall 2011. We had the opportunity to interview the workers backstage inside the world largest white tent in Orange County where horses and people were performing the show.\n           When we arrived\, we went inside the VIP lounge where there was food and drink provided for free before and in the middle of the show.  We watched the Cavalia Odysseo where there were many\, many\, horses and people were performing in different scenes\, such as Easter Island\, Great Plains\, Forest\, Merry-go-round\, etc. The performers dressed up as Greece\, modern people\, and explorers in order to match with the scenes and stories. It was amazing. All the performers and horses were acting so natural and every single scene is very attractive. It took a lot of training with their performing equestrian where there were 70 horses and 45 artist to make a land of dreaming imagination. These horses and riders act as they are together as friends and family that makes people enjoy the show. In one part the rider fell off the horse and in another part a hoop fell down and then carried a person and did tricks while on the hoop. The background continue to change while the riders and horses performed\, which make the show more fun to look at.  \n    After the show we Lajaja Kids went backstage and saw the horses at their stables and some of the horses that were in the show were seen in their stables too. At the end we Lajaja Kids got a chance to touch a horse and ask its rider questions about the horses\, show\, and riders about how they trained in their stadium and see the horses inside their stables. All the horses were being picked by the experts in the community. Each horse had to be trained and tested in order to find the right owner. Sometimes it takes couple years to have the horse ready to perform. We were also get the chance to stand on the stage in order to feel how it is as a performer. It is quite amazing for the horses and the riders be able to have so many different actions on the stage.\n  \n\n\n\n\nThe Magic Awakens at Cavalia OdysseO\nby Bianca Chiu\n            Dinner\, Drinks\, Dessert\, and a magical show put together by acrobats and horses\, who could ask for more? It’s all right there at Cavalia Odysseo\, where two Lajaja Kids Junior Journalists visited on February 25\, 2016.\n            When they arrived\, the excited journalists got their VIP passes\, free programs\, and a poster as they headed on to the buffet\, which was filled with tasty food to get you stuffed for the show. Things like beef\, chicken\, and crackers with hummus welcomed everyone as they toured around the world’s largest white tent\, which was also their lounge.\n            When time came for the show to start\, the VIPs all rushed to grab their free popcorn\, and the journalists skipped into the dim stadium\, where the got seated in the row CC (third row) of section two in the seating area.\n            As the show started\, everyone stuffed popcorn into their face and watched carefully at the first scene\, which was basically horses doing tricks with actors as a lady sang a song in a language I do not know. The scenes went by in a flash\, with all the horsemen jumping and climbing around their horse. Unfortunately\, one actor fell off his horse and almost got trampled over. Luckily\, and to everyone’s surprise\, the horse stopped at the sight of its fallen owner\, so no damage was done to either of them.\n            When the first half of the show was over\, the journalists headed back towards the lounge and ate dessert. There was tiramisu cake\, chocolate fudge\, and little cubes of red-velvet cake coated with chocolate. Eating and chatting\, almost everyone in the lounge was talking about what they saw guessing what sort of magic was to be uncovered next.\n            All that was revealed when the break ended and the show began again. Grabbing more popcorn\, the people stampeded towards their original seats in the stadium and chittered excitedly\, impatient as ever for a show to start.\n            The second half of the show was even better than the first! In one of the scenes\, acrobats flew around in the air with nothing to support them but thin\, silver hoops. There wasn’t even a wire! They would just hang by their hand\, leg\, and even neck! In another scene\, the audience learned the saying “O walu guere moufan!”\, which basically means No More War on Earth.\n            In one of the last parts of the show\,  a horse skidded across the water\, splashing the audience as it danced to a music. (IT DANCED!) Afterwards\, all the performers came on stage and bowed\, showing us the final performance of the day.\n            As the show ended for real\, crowds forced their way out of the tent as bloggers headed to the stables\, which held over 65 horses.\n            In the stables\, the journalists met and questioned some of the actors on the horses and took a few shots with them.\n            To conclude it all\, it was the most magical interview ever!\n   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n          \n http://www.cavalia.net/en/odysseo/tickets-info/orange-county-ca-usa

Millions have. Harlem Globetrotters' amazing basketball skills\, they turned sports into entertainment! On February 21\,2016\, three Lajaja Kids junior journalists(Aaron\, Kyle and I) went to the Harlem Globetrotters basketball game at Citizens Business Bank Arena Stadium.\n\nWhen we arrived at stadium\, we received our magic Passes; this pass allows us to have the access to meet and greet with the players. We are the only media used the Magic Pass. I got a autography from one of the player. They are so tall I look like a midget standing right next to them. We also had chance to dress up like a Globetrotter. That was amazing! We got to interview with the players after 20 minutes of playing and exploring. I found many interesting facts from the interview\, such as how long have them been playing and their favorite tricks. After interviewing the players\, we found seats. Our seats were at courtside!!!\n\nDuring the game\, they did so many ball tricks and interacted with audience. My favorite part was when Big Easy took chicken sliders from Aaron. That made me laughed so hard.\n\nThis was a great experience. I love to play basketball with my brother. Now I'm ready to practice some of their moves and tricks!\n\n  \n\n\n\nThe Best Gift at the Harlem Globtrotters’ Basketball Game\nby Aaron Estrada\n\nI enjoyed my evening at Harlem Globetrotters basketball game on Saturday\, February 20\, 2016 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. I have never watched a basketball game with players so funny and skilled. This was the first live game I have been to except for the jr. basketball practice ones with my old team.  I have been on a jr. beginners basketball team a before\, and I also play basketball at noon at school. The Harlem Globetrotters were the best players ever. They can make really long shots and tricks. My favorite move I saw them do was sliding and dribbling. That was my favorite move.\nMy night actually did not start out too great. When we got there at least thirty minutes early for the Magic Pass time\, I had a really bad stomachache. I was not feeling well. We had to go find a restroom and we ended up arriving just in time to go in. This was the first time this had ever happen\, but I survived. As soon as we stepped into the building\, I already love it. The Magic Pass time was really awesome.  We got to get in different lines and learn tricks from the Harlem Globetrotter players. We also got to get their autographs. I enjoyed that part. Then we had to do the interview. Before the interview\, I watched a lot of videos and prepared questions for five players I thought I was going to interview.  I also memorized the opening and questions. When the players came out\, I was only familiar with TNT since the other two players were not on my list of assignment to research. I was also first up and had to make up questions as they were filming. Luckily the players were very nice and I asked the questions I can think about in that second. We interviewed Hacksaw\, Flip\, and TNT. You can see it in the video.\nThen we were so lucky to get to sit in the front row bench seat right next to the basket. That was the coolest part ever. During the 3rd quarter Big Easy came over and ate my nugget. Then I got five bucks for that. That was cool and funny. But Big Easy was fouled and left. There were only five players remaining that are playing fairly. The rest were out.\nIn the end Globetrotters had 4 players\, but then Big Easy came out and saw that the rule book was fake. So then all players were in and not out. However\, they changed the score 87 to 91 so the other team could win. Finally the Globetrotters kept the other team at 91 and won by 4 points.  After the game\, we got to get in line to have get more autographs from the Harlem Globetrotters. I had the most unlucky start in my night with a lot of things not going right\, but felt the luckiest boy ever to see the Harlem Globetrotters play up front. We had a fun time! This was the best gift ever!\nThank you to lajajakids and to the Harlem Globetrotters!\n   \n\n\n\nMy Interview with Harlem Globetrotters \nby Kyle Chiu\n\nOn February 20th\, 2016\, we\, the Lajaja Kids Junior Journalists\, interviewed three players of the team ‘’The Harlem Globetrotters’’ during their 90th year anniversary of playing their games in the Citizens Business Bank Arena (Ontario\, CA). These players are famous for winning and breaking many world records. I cannot believe that I am lucky enough to get the chance to interview them! When we arrived\, we went into the “Magic Ticket Time” for 15 minutes to meet and take picture with them.\n            Then\, we went backstage to interview the 3 players: TNT\, Flip\, and Hacksaw. Here are the questions I asked:\n1)      Q: Why are you basketball players so tall?\nA: I am tall because of my family relation and I eat very healthy. \n2)      Q: How do you know so many tricks?\nA: Of course because we practice a lot of hours every day.\n3)      Q: How long do you practice?\nA: We practice hours during the time we aren’t playing games.\n\n After the interview\, I waited in line and got the teams autograph. Later on\, we watched the game of The Globetrotters versus The All Stars. At the beginning of the game\, the cheerleaders were performing and dancing to motivate the players.  The game was full of fun tricks and humor that made everyone laugh. In the middle of the action\, one of the player even got his pants taken off! They also did many funny things with the audience like stealing French fries from another junior journalist. One player took the purse from one of the audience and gave it to the coach. Their mascot also came out to make entertainment. Sometimes the ball would fall into the audience. The teams had 2 free shots and the Globetrotters got two and the All Stars got 0 because at one part a Globetrotter was hiding behind and took off the pants of an All Stars member. When TNT gave him the ball\, he shot but instead of falling into the hoop\, it flew in the air\, it was actually a balloon!\n\nDuring the resting time\, the team got a cup of water and his teammate slapped it out of his hand and sprinkled into the audience. When the players were resting they threw out their clothes to the audience as souvenir. They also sold balls at both ends of the court.\nWe had a wonderful time spending the night in the Arena. I have to start eating healthy and jump more often and one day\, I may be as tall as Hacksaw and be a super basketball player too!\n   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttp://www.harlemglobetrotters.com\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I wonder how do they perform their version of The Sound Of Music.\n    The Sound Of Music made its first debut on November 16\, 1959. The story is set in Pre WWII Germany.  A woman named Maria who will be the governess of a large family of seven children helps their widowed father (Captain Von Trappe) take care of them. The oldest of the children\, Liesl\, falls in love with Rolf\, a messenger. Maria eventually falls in love with the widowed Captain Von Trappe. They get married and secretly flee Austria because they do not wish to join the Nazis. \n    We watched the cast perform some musical numbers from The Sound Of Music such as Do Re Mi\, Favorite Things\, Sixteen Going on Seventeen\, and much more. They were amazing.(BTW\, I am a huge Sound Of Music fan.)\n    After that\, we got to do interviews with a few of the cast members. I got to interview Hunter who is playing Rolf. He is a boy actor and hopes to become a professional performer when he grows up. He loves being onstage.\n    That was an amazing experience. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. If you are interested\, go to Morningstar Studio in Chino.\nAaron\n\n\nI had a lot of fun at Morning Star Performing Arts\, because we got to sing and dance. At Morning Star Performing Arts students learn to sing\, dance\, and act for performances. Before the interview\, they were practicing for their Sound of Music performance. They practiced lots of songs and we did some exercises. My favorite song was do-re-mi. Lajajakids jr. journalist also got to learn with the performers. It was pretty fun and cool to join the practice performance.  There’s acting\, which I like to act sometimes for school performances.\nThen after we did the interview. I got to interview one of the leading performers and  Isabel and Karen interviewed the others. One question I asked is what do you like about this? She said she likes the performing aspect of it\, because they get to play different roles.  Another question I asked was how long does it take to set up the performance? She said about five to six months. One other question I asked was what is your favorite role to play? She said she likes to play characters that are outgoing and fun.  I think that she was really really amazing with her role for the Sound of Music. She has a very beautiful voice. Their performance will be coming soon. They will be performing at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on February 26th and 27th.\nI had a lot of fun at participating at Morning Star Performing Arts. The instructor Ms. Suzanne was a great and nice leader and teacher. Thank you for sharing your work with us. I enjoyed being seeing the practice sound of music performance and also enjoyed the students acting. My favorite part is the acting. Since I act out skits at school. That is why I enjoyed Sound of Music. Thank you also to Lajajakids for inviting me to have fun and to interview the stars.\nKaren Shi\n\n On February 13\, 2016\,  I went to the Morningstar Studio in Chino Hills\, California with my friends\, the Junior Journalists. We were there to learn about musical theater acting and the musical The Sound of Music. The Sound of Music is a musical about a young woman hired to tutor the von Trapp children\, and instead\, she teaches them about the wonderful world of music. At the Morningstar Studio\, the students reenacted the whole musical.\n\nThe classroom was located inside of a medium-sized gymnasium with many sets of exercise equipment. The students of Morningstar put on their jazz shoes as soon as they sat down on the wooden floors of the room. The teacher\, Susanne\, started off the lesson by having everyone do vocal warm-ups\, meaning sing scales (do re mi fa sol la ti do). Then the rehearsal began. The students sang beautifully! I especially loved the voice of the student playing Leisle's role in the musical. It was so bright and clear\, and sounded like. There were also two male students\, but the rest were girls. We sang and dance to many song\, like “Favorite Things” and “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria.” The fun continued when the Junior Journalists interviewed the students.\n\nOne of the actors\, a girl who played both Maxine and a nun\, told me she loved musical theater performance because she loved to sing and dance. However\, she also said she learned through acting that she was a wimp. I assured her that she was not\, or she would have quit by now. She was really good at singing\, and she a really fun to be around. Acting seemed really important to all the kids at Morningstar.\n\nThen it was time to leave. I loved the horses and the way every horse was just so elegant! I can’t wait to give you the inside look on this spectacular event………\n\nAt the wonderful giant OdysseO big tent\, otherwise known as the “Big White Top” we saw the spectacular show. I loved looking at it. It was just so big! When we went inside\, it amazed me even more. The stage was just so…...BIG! As I sat down at my seat\, the curtains began to open………\n\nThe show I watched was magnificent!!!! I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the stage. The horses were so in touch with the humans. They always listened to commands or signals so the horses would know what to do. I wished I had the skill with horses like that! :) The horses were really just magnificent! OdysseO is a mix of Horses\, Acrobatics\, aerial art\, dancing\, music\, and singing\, which makes the show the most unique you have ever seen.\n\n\n\n\n\nFun Facts About Cavalia OdysseO:\n\n~ The Big White Top is 125 feet tall.\n\n~The visuals for OdysseO requires 18 projectors and 200 moving lights! {That’s a lot!}\n\n~There are more than 2\,000 seats!!!!\n\n~The technical grid weighs 70 tons or 140\,000! {That is REALLY REALLY heavy.
