【好書推介】給「大」孩子的睡前故事書單

對於許多孩子來說,小時候在睡床上聽父母閱讀是一種童年珍貴的儀式和回憶,可是很多時候當孩子稍微長大(其實也不過就八、九歲),能自己閱讀文字書之後,大部分爸媽就停止了這個甜蜜而美好的親子活動。

教育專家研究顯示,83% 的 6-17歲孩子享受由父母唸書給他們聽,可惜的是,只有17% 的 9-11歲孩子仍然獲得父母經常朗讀給孩子聽。

其實,小朋友無論幾歲,都仍然喜歡爸媽在床前唸書給他聽,這個美好的時刻,實在不應該太早結束,何況,它還有好多好處呢!~

體驗故事的快樂

正在讀小學的孩子,需要閱讀由老師指定的故事書和課本,但是睡前故事可不一樣,由爸媽娓娓讀來的故事,沒有功課和學習的成分,讓孩子完全享受故事本身的情節,沉浸在故事的氣氛中。

幫助擴大孩子的詞彙量

對10歲以下的孩子來說,他們的聽覺理解力比閱讀理解能力要高。父母可以選擇一本稍微深奧的書來挑戰孩子,通過閱讀,讓孩子聽到大量新的詞彙單詞,大大延伸孩子的語言發展。

為孩子介紹新作家和新系列

有些孩子對選書的愛好比較單一,常常只看某幾位作家的書,父母可以選讀一位新作家或一個全新系列的故事書,幫孩子擴大閱讀的品味和喜好。

建立理解力和同理心

文學是幫助孩子無需親身經歷而又能了解世間事物的最好方式。透過書中各種各樣的抽象主題和概念,父母可以幫助孩子構建對世界和人性的理解,更讓親子之間有討論,增進互動和了解。
