Prepare for thrusting greatness as this season's free Shakespeare in Griffith Park begins with Twelfth Night.\n\n\nThe 2019 Independent Shakespeare Company presents free Shakespeare in Griffith Park. There will be two plays are performed this summer. Twelfth Night begins June 29 Pericles begins July 27\nCheck out our review from a previous season and tips for enjoying the evening.\nThere is no seating at the venue; bring your own blanket or low-backed lawn chair. It can get pretty chilly in the evenings so you'll want a jacket. Concessions are available for purchase or you can bring your own picnic. DESCRIPTION:Anime Expo is an annual convention dedicated to Japanese culture and currently held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Traditionally Anime Expo (AX) is held on July 4th weekend as a 4-day event. Anime Expo is growing in scale dramatically and is currently the largest anime and manga convention in North America.\n\nPopular events include; the Masquerade\, Anime Music Video Contest\, Concerts\, and the Fashion Show. Anime Expo also offers late-night programming such as dance\, video screenings\, tabletop and electronic gaming\, and open-mic karaoke. Many of the attendees cosplay while attending the convention\, and join in the many gatherings for fans of different anime\, manga\, gaming and other genres.\n\nAnime fans and industry members head to the LA Convention Center for Anime Expo\, an annual celebration of Japanese pop culture.\n\nIndustry panels offer previews of each company’s upcoming year\, with Q&A sessions\, exclusive sneak peeks and trailers\, and giveaways.\n\nPopular events include the Masquerade\, Anime Music Video Contest\, Concerts\, Battle of the Bands\, and the AX Fashion Show.  Many of the attendees cosplay while attending the convention\, and there are many gatherings for fans of different anime and manga series.\n\nKids Day\, on Sunday\, July 7 features a selection of programming specifically targeted toward young children and their families.\n\n
