DESCRIPTION:The Blessing of the Animals has been a part of Olvera Street since its founding in 1930\, but its practice dates back to the 4th century\, when San Antonio De Abad was named the patron saint of the animal kingdom and began to bless animals to promote good health.\nIn the early days of the pueblo\, the priest from La Placita Church would bless the livestock of the farmers to keep them healthy and productive\, benefiting the entire community. The practice continued when Olvera Street opened in 1930\, but the animals were a little different. No longer was the blessing limited to cows\, horses and goats\, but the blessing began to include all animals\, especially pets. Many four-legged friends are seen members of the family\, and the blessing is open to all. Whether they live on land\, in water\, or fly in trees\, all animals are welcome to receive a blessing from Archbishop Jose Gomez.\nWhile the blessing is rooted in Catholic tradition\, you do not have to be Catholic to participate. ALL ANIMALS\, AND HUMANS\, ARE WELCOME!\n​

DESCRIPTION:南加州一年一度文藝復興嘉年華(The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire )將在 4月6日起到 5月20日舉行，宛如大型化裝舞會的文藝復興嘉年華﹐各項遊戲和表演將讓人感覺走進了時光隧道，享受一場復古饗宴。\n\n活動上不管是工作人員﹐或是來參加的遊客﹐都穿著文藝復興時期的服裝﹐說著那個時期的英文﹐玩著當時流行的遊戲，感覺上就像回到過去﹐如果能夠放得開﹐融入那種氣氛﹐真的能讓人忘了自己是活在21世紀。還沒進大門﹐光是來到門口的售票亭﹐就已經可以感受到裡面的氣氛了，一進去﹐馬上像是進了另一個世界，離門口不遠的地方有租衣服的地方，裡面你可以選擇當平民﹐當貴族﹐或其他的打扮﹐有人會幫你選擇合身的衣服。\n\n就跟其他園遊會一樣﹐他們也有很多遊戲可以玩，但是這邊的遊戲與文藝復興時期有關，你可以玩十字弓﹐射標槍﹐射箭﹐丟斧頭﹐用鉛球打木瓶子﹐用番茄丟被關在籠子裡的人﹐還有人教你怎麼玩西洋劍等等，有興趣還可拿錢賭哪隻烏龜跑得比較快。除了熱鬧遊行，公園內有好幾個舞台﹐隨時都有人在表演話劇﹐坐在下面的人也有機會被拉上台湊一角。比較大的表演就是武士們騎馬打仗了，觀眾會被分為好幾派﹐為自己武士加油，武士們是為了榮譽而戰，他們騎馬拿著長槍向前衝刺﹐落馬的人就輸了。最後的兩個武士還會拿劍出來比劃比劃。\n\n離開前別忘了帶些紀念品，例如花冠﹐文藝復興時期的衣服﹐鞋子，還有古時候女士手上拿的扇子﹐羽毛等等，其他還有很多手工藝品﹐例如木雕的頭飾﹐酒杯﹐裝酒的葫蘆﹐羽毛筆﹐用蛇骨做成﹐用來祈求愛情的項鏈等。\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X-inRz4lOI\n\nBegun in 1963 in Agoura\, near Malibu\, to create “living history” for schoolchildren and their families\, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire has grown into an annual interactive playground and gallery for over 200\,000 participants and guests. DESCRIPTION:Bunnies\, Bob Baker and Hidden Eggs will be all the rage at One Colorado on Saturday\, April 20.  At 10a\, the Easter Bunny is hoppin’ over to One Colorado for our first-ever Easter Egg Hunt!\n\nHundreds of colorful eggs with candy and toys will be hidden around the One Colorado courtyard\, including a few Golden Eggs with some nifty prizes from our stores. Before and after the big egg hunt\, the Easter Bunny will be available for Polaroid photo ops (and selfies\, of course). The Egg Hunt starts at 10:30 am sharp and is first-come first-served. Don’t forget to BYOB (basket)!\n\nAfter packing your basket\, get ready for a special Bob Baker Marionette Show at 11:30 am. Their spectacular “Springtime Review” features Bouncing Bunnies\, Mother Goose\, and even Humpty Dumpty! With a catchy soundtrack and talented puppet performers\, this show will be better than any golden egg. (Seating is first-come first-served.)
