SUMMARY:Southern California Live Steamers! Public Run Days
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nSouthern California Live Steamers started in 1941 when meetings were held in members’ homes and once a month a run day was held at founding member Dick Jackson’s Beverly Hills backyard. In 1948 Walt Disney\, Ollie Johnston\, Martin and Irene Lewis of Little Engines Company joined the club. In 1949 the club started a larger club track in Lomita. There were 2 parallel loops of track each 700 feet long which circled around the little engines manufacturing facility\, which was directly behind the Lewis residence.\n\n\n\n\n\n
